Facts from the source article.

Format

Each couple attempted to match each spouse's answers to six questions about their domestic and love life. After the first three questions, the couple switched roles. One spouse tried to predict how the other, seated behind a window and wearing headphones, would answer. Winnings depended on the number of matches; a couple matching all six won a jackpot prize.

Broadcasting

The series had versions by several ITV regions: Alan Taylor hosted the TWW version, Derek Batey hosted the Border version, and Norman Vaughan hosted the Anglia version. The TWW version began in 1964, the Border version in 1967. The Anglia version ran for one year in 1969 across the ITV network. From 1972, hosts Batey and Taylor alternated weekly. In 1976, the Border version alone was transmitted nationally and remained in daytime scheduling until 1988. Tyne Tees produced a local version in 1976, shown on Sunday afternoons in summer and autumn; Tyne Tees had earlier provided colour production facilities for Border. The show later aired on UK Living and regionally on HTV as The All-New Mr and Mrs Show, hosted by Nino Firetto, then returned to ITV in 1999 hosted by Julian Clary. It was part of an eight-episode series called Gameshow Marathon hosted by Vernon Kay on 12 May 2007. A 2008 revival as All Star Mr & Mrs was hosted by Phillip Schofield, originally with Fern Britton.

International versions

The show originated in Canada in 1963, produced at CFTO-TV in Toronto and running on the CTV network for 780 episodes, hosted by Peter Parker. Roy Ward Dickson created the show. The British version originated in Wales in 1964 as a Welsh-language programme titled Sion a Sian, Sion a Siân or Siôn a Siân, presented by Ieuan Rhys, continuing until 2003. It first broadcast on TWW, then HTV, and finally S4C. The series was revived in 2012, presented by Stifyn Parri and Heledd Cynwal, and that year featured its first gay couple.
