Lore & Background
The series centers on Princess Unikitty, voiced by Tara Strong (speaking) and Juliana Hansen (singing), who rules the Unikingdom with her younger brother Prince Puppycorn (voiced by Grey Griffin), a pug/unicorn hybrid. Her companions include Dr. Fox (voiced by Kate Micucci), a red fox scientist; Hawkodile (voiced by Roger Craig Smith), a hawk/crocodile hybrid bodyguard with a crush on Dr. Fox; and Richard (also voiced by Roger Craig Smith), a grey 1x3 Lego brick who serves as royal advisor. The main antagonist is Master Frown (voiced by Eric Bauza), an archenemy from Frown Town who is one of the Doom Lords, a group of villains. In the series finale, Master Frown betrays the other Doom Lords and becomes friends with the main characters.
Reader's Guide
Unikitty! serves as a spin-off expanding the character from The Lego Movie franchise into a standalone animated series. The show explores the character's dual nature—her typically happy, playful demeanor contrasted with an angry side she sometimes struggles to control. The series features a wide array of supporting characters, including the Doom Lords (Master Doom, Master Papercuts, Master Malice, Master Hazard, Master Misery, Master Fear, Master Pain, and Master Plague) and numerous citizens of the Unikingdom. The series is notable for its inclusion of LGBTQ+ representation through the confirmed relationship between Master Frown and Brock. As a production of The Lego Group and Warner Bros. Animation, it continues the Lego franchise's tradition of combining humor with character-driven storytelling.
