Stuart Little (TV series)

Stuart Little: The Animated Series, also known simply as Stuart Little, is an American animated television program. It draws loosely from E. B. White's 1945 children's book and the live-action/animated movies that followed. It was produced by Red Wagon Entertainment and Sony Pictures Television for the HBO Family digital cable television channel and aired for one season of 13 episodes. The story picks up after the first two films. It follows Stuart Little, a mouse who was taken in by a human family. Stuart is brave, creative, and adventurous, treating everyday objects like giant props. Most of the animation is traditional, but each episode starts and ends with a CGI segment where Stuart tells a story that frames the episode. The series aims to teach children how to solve problems and feel proud of what they achieve. The voice cast includes David Kaufman as Stuart. Quinton Flynn and Kevin Schon share the role of Snowbell, the family's Persian cat and Stuart's closest friend. Myles Jeffrey plays George Little, the 11-year-old eldest son and Stuart's older brother. Hugh Laurie voices Mr. Frederick Little, the father. Jennifer Hale provides the voices for both Mrs. Eleanor Little, the mother, and Martha Little, the 3-year-old infant daughter. André Sogliuzzo plays Monty, a gray tabby cat and Snowbell's best friend. Rachael Harris voices Margalo, a young yellow canary and Stuart's love interest. Pat Fraley plays Falcon, a peregrine falcon who opposes Stuart. Jeffrey Jones voices Uncle Crenshaw Little, Mr. Little's older brother. Marc John Jefferies plays Will Powell, George's loyal best friend. With the exceptions of Laurie, Jones, and Jefferies, none of the actors from the films reprised their roles. Daniel Hansen, who played an unnamed student in *Stuart Little 2*, voices Larry Gronk. Two DVDs were released on May 22, 2007, each containing three episodes. Two more DVDs came out in April 2009. The complete series was released on DVD in Region 2 in the United Kingdom on February 25, 2008.
