Production
The theme song, 'Opportunities (Let's Make Lots of Money)' by the Pet Shop Boys, was also used on British, Danish, and Belgian-Dutch versions. Commercial promos featured 'The Geeks Get the Girls' by American Hi-Fi. After the second season, the series moved to The CW, formed when The WB and UPN ceased operations in September 2006. The two-hour season three premiere aired January 3, 2007 at 8:00 p.m. EST. Season four premiered September 18, making it the first series to premiere for the CW's 2007-08 season. A fifth season premiered March 12, 2008. After season five, the show was put on indefinite hiatus. Casting for a sixth season on MTV began in October 2008, but that season never materialized.
