Playing career

Kelleher played on the USNTDP during his high school years and was selected for both the under-17 and under-18 squads, winning a silver medal at the 2013 championship. He began attending the University of New Hampshire in the fall of 2013, where his freshman season was mediocre. The following year his numbers nearly tripled and he led the team's offense, though UNH finished 8th in Hockey East. As an upperclassman he continued to produce, but the Wildcats finished 10th in each of his final two seasons. He finished his senior season tied for the NCAA scoring title. Undrafted, Kelleher signed with the Milwaukee Admirals at the end of the 2017 season. After a promising start to his first full pro season, a knee injury derailed it. He was later traded to the Texas Stars for future considerations. He then moved to Germany to play for ERC Ingolstadt, helping the club reach the DEL semifinals in 2019. He spent two seasons with IK Oskarshamn during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021 he debuted for Rögle BK and also played for HV71 in the HockeyAllsvenskan during the 2021–22 season. Kelleher was transferred to Tappara for the 2022–23 season, scoring his first goal in Finland in a preseason match against HPK, and was then loaned to the Lahti Pelicans. For the 2023–24 season he returned to the HockeyAllsvenskan with Brynäs IF, helping the team earn promotion to the SHL and earning the playoffs MVP award. The following season he repeated this feat with Djurgårdens IF. After that promotion, he signed a one-year deal with Modo Hockey to try to earn promotion to the SHL again.
