Development
Easy Red 2 is a World War II game from Italian developer Marco Amadei and his studio Corvostudio di Amadei Marco. Amadei has said the sequel was built to fix the limits of the original Easy Red from 2017, which had smaller battles and fewer environments. The new game was almost entirely recoded to allow for bigger maps, smarter enemy AI, more vehicle options, and better performance. It runs on the Unity engine, which helped the team release the game on multiple platforms and push out updates for both PC and consoles. Work on Easy Red 2 started right after the first game came out in 2017, and early access versions were available before the full launch in 2020. The developer has pointed to player feedback as a key influence on features like how vehicles handle, how infantry squads act, and the mission editor. The game first hit Windows in November 2020, then got steady updates that added more factions, weapons, vehicles, and maps. Later, console versions arrived for Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch. The biggest update so far, Update 2.1.0, dropped on 3 September 2026. It overhauled the menus and HUD, tweaked AI for vehicles and infantry, improved pathfinding and road networks, added two new infantry systems, made tank sights more historically accurate, brought in new vehicles, and fixed many bugs. Easy Red 2 includes 16 campaigns and over 100 maps based on real World War II battles. In each mission, players are placed in a specific historical division, which decides what units and gear they can use.
