Commercial performance

Hollow, the EP by Stray Kids, made a massive splash in Japan. It shot straight to number one on the Oricon Albums Chart for the week of June 30, 2025, moving 523,063 copies in its first seven days. That number broke the group’s own single-week record of 506,000 copies set by Social Path / Super Bowl (Japanese Ver.) in 2023. It also overtook Seventeen’s Happy Burstday, which had sold 457,000 copies, making Hollow the best first-week performance by a non-Japanese artist in 2025.

Only two other albums that year—Snow Man’s The Best 2020–2025 and Timelesz’s Fam—had crossed the 500,000 mark in their debut weeks, and Hollow was the first by a non-Japanese act to join them. The EP also landed at number one on the Digital Albums Chart with 3,784 units, the group’s second chart-topper there since 5-Star in 2023, and later peaked at number one on the Combined Albums Chart. On June 17, 2025, SoundScan Japan reported 619,245 physical copies sold during flying get.

GfK/NIQ Japan noted 3,135 downloads on release day. On the Billboard Japan Hot Albums chart dated June 25, 2025, Hollow debuted at number one. It also topped Top Albums Sales with 738,209 physical copies—the second biggest physical sales week of 2025—and Download Albums with 3,761 digital sales, the group’s best digital week yet, surpassing the 3,395 sales of Ate in 2024. The Recording Industry Association of Japan certified Hollow triple platinum on July 10, 2025, for 750,000 shipments.
