FRS Racing
Part-time NASCAR Xfinity Series team founded in 2023.
FRS Racing was a short-lived American stock car team that ran a partial schedule in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. It was started in 2023 by Collin Fern, who had previously served as the technical director for Brandonbilt Motorsports. The team operated a single car, the No. 96 Chevrolet Camaro, which was driven part-time by Kyle Weatherman and Max McLaughlin. FRS Racing had a technical partnership with Richard Childress Racing, which supplied the team’s cars and engines. The team shared a shop with the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series team Young’s Motorsports. FRS Racing planned to debut at Richmond Raceway in April 2023, but after qualifying was rained out, the car failed to make the race. Max McLaughlin was announced as the driver for Watkins Glen, and Kyle Weatherman was later scheduled to drive at Martinsville Speedway in an attempt to finally get the team into a race.
