Reader's Guide

The Klendathu Hive is the central command node of the Bug species, housing the Queen who controls the entire swarm. SICON's strategy is a direct assault: deploy the Mobile Infantry to locate and kill the Queen, hoping to decapitate the Bug hierarchy. The Roughnecks, led by Razak and later Rico, are at the forefront of this assault. The campaign is brutal, with heavy casualties on both sides. Despite their efforts, the Queen escapes, proving that even a direct strike on the homeworld cannot guarantee victory. The Klendathu Campaign demonstrates the Bugs' resilience and the difficulty of eradicating a species that operates as a single, coordinated hive mind.
