HD 75289
A yellow Sun-like star with a hot Jupiter and a red dwarf companion.
HD 75289 is a faint double star in the southern constellation of Vela. The primary, a yellow G-type main-sequence star, has an apparent visual magnitude of 6.35 and is located 95 light-years from the Sun. It is metal-rich, slightly more massive and larger than the Sun, and radiates double the solar luminosity. In 1999, a hot Jupiter exoplanet with half the mass of Jupiter was detected orbiting the primary every 3.51 days. A co-moving red dwarf companion was identified in 2004.
