Lambda Persei
A rapidly rotating A-type subgiant in Perseus.
Lambda Persei is a faint, white-hued star in the northern constellation Perseus, visible to the naked eye at magnitude 4.29. It is an A-type subgiant with rapid rotation, giving it an equatorial bulge 16% larger than its polar radius. The star shows weak hydrogen emission lines, possibly from magnetic plage regions.
