Sigma Lupi
A helium-strong B-type variable star in Lupus.
Sigma Lupi is a B-type main sequence star in the southern constellation Lupus, visible to the naked eye at magnitude 4.4. Located about 580 light years away, it is a member of the Upper Centaurus–Lupus subgroup of the Sco OB2 association. The star is notable as a helium-strong variable with a detected magnetic field and is a suspected close binary system.
