Phi Leonis
A rapidly spinning A-type subgiant with possible exocomets.
Phi Leonis is a single star in the constellation Leo, visible to the naked eye at magnitude 4.46. About 184 light-years away, it is an A-type subgiant that has left the main sequence. Its high rotation rate of 254 km/s gives it an oblate shape with an equatorial bulge 29% larger than the polar radius. The star may host a circumstellar disk and shows sporadic spectral variation suggesting orbiting cometary bodies.
