HD 224355

An eclipsing binary in Cassiopeia, one of few with three measured orbit types.

HD 224355, also known as V1022 Cassiopeiae, is an eclipsing binary star in Cassiopeia. It is one of the few binaries known to be an astrometric, spectroscopic and eclipsing binary, allowing highly accurate calculation of its parameters. The system ranges in apparent magnitude from 5.57 to 5.68, faintly visible to the naked eye away from city lights. Both components are slightly more massive than the Sun, F5 or F6 stars about 1.9 billion years old and near the end of their main sequence lives, each roughly 2.5 times the Sun's radius and 9 or 10 times as luminous.
