SpongeBob's Truth or Square

SpongeBob's Truth or Square, also called Stuck in the Freezer, is a 2009 TV comedy film and a one-hour episode of the American animated series SpongeBob SquarePants. It was the 123rd and 124th episode of the show, first broadcast on Nickelodeon in the U.S. on November 6, 2009, to mark the series' tenth anniversary. It is the second SpongeBob SquarePants TV movie, after SpongeBob's Atlantis SquarePantis from 2007. The animation was directed by supervising director Alan Smart, Andrew Overtoom, and Tom Yasumi.

In the special, SpongeBob and his friends get locked inside the Krusty Krab on the day of its "Eleventy-Seventh" anniversary party. While crawling through the ventilation system to escape, they revisit shared memories in flashbacks. Meanwhile, Patchy the Pirate hosts a TV Extravaganza and waits for SpongeBob to appear. When he gets no response, Patchy angrily heads to Bikini Bottom.

The film was written by Luke Brookshier, Nate Cash, Steven Banks, and Paul Tibbitt. Guest stars include Rosario Dawson, Eddie Deezen, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, LeBron James, Tina Fey, Will Ferrell, Craig Ferguson, Robin Williams, and P!nk, with Ricky Gervais providing an uncredited voice cameo as the narrator. Upon release, the special drew about 7.7 million viewers but received mixed reviews; critics generally liked the main animated segments but found the Patchy the Pirate parts unfunny and filler-like.

SpongeBob wakes up and remembers the Krusty Krab's "Eleventy-Seventh" anniversary, recalling his first visit there. He tells his pet snail Gary about it, then leaves for the restaurant. Outside, he jumps over a long line of customers to get inside. Mr. Krabs warns SpongeBob and Squidward that the celebration is a chance for Plankton to steal the Krabby Patty formula, so he hires Patrick as a cheap security guard. SpongeBob decorates the restaurant with ketchup, toilet paper, and mustard. When he shows everyone a Krabby Patty ice sculpture, they accidentally trap themselves in the freezer while trying to take it outside. Mr. Krabs remembers an escape route through the ventilation system. As they navigate the vents, they recall memorable moments from their lives.
