Hell's Legion

Lore & Background

The Army of Hell's structure reflects the rigid nature of its domain; betrayal is punished severely, yet ambition drives many demons to seek higher ranks. They utilize supernatural weaponry and chains that can bind even supernatural beings like Spawn. Throughout history, they have been deployed in waves to retrieve wayward souls or eliminate threats to Malebolgia's rule from his generic palace within Hell. Their presence on Earth usually signals a significant escalation in the cosmic conflict between Heaven and Hell.

Reader's Guide

Hell's Legion functions as the organized military arm of the underworld under the direct command of Malebolgia. Their primary goal is to secure and transport souls destined for damnation while eliminating any supernatural threats that jeopardize Hell's interests on Earth.

Membership consists entirely of demonic entities, ranging from low-level foot soldiers to elite lieutenants like Violator or Medusa who oversee specific operations. These members are bound by the laws of Hell and often wear armor forged from the souls they have collected.

In the broader conflict between Heaven, Earth, and Hell, the Legion acts as the aggressive vanguard. They frequently engage in combat with Spawn, viewing him as a rogue asset that must be reclaimed or destroyed. Their tactics involve overwhelming numbers, psychological torment, and supernatural hunting abilities designed to track targets across the mortal plane.
