Freak (Image Comics)
A sewer-dwelling psychopath who tricked Spawn into murder.
The Freak is a supervillain from the Spawn comic book series, also known as Mr. Kulbiczi. His mental illness and delirium stemmed from his ex-wife telling him she did not want children. He was committed to an asylum but later built himself a mansion in the sewers.

Fictional character biography
The Freak initially appeared in the background of Spawn #33, pulling the Violator from the water. After fleeing, he turned up again under attack by a group of thugs. Spawn stepped in to help, and the Freak persuaded him to kill Dr. DeLorean as payback for his murdered family. Once the deed was done, it came out that the Freak was delusional and had duped Spawn into slaying his own therapist. Later, the Freak commanded a crew of street thugs who captured and seemingly finished off Spawn in the Deadzone. The necroplasm drained from Spawn’s impaled body later revived a dead vagrant, Eddie Beckett, as the Heap. Sam Burke and Twitch Williams retrieved Spawn’s corpse, and alley insects brought him back to life. Spawn finally killed the Freak by smothering him with bugs born from the Freak’s own inner evils, which tried to crawl back inside him.
