Reception
Critics have offered mixed but largely positive takes on the film. Jay Weissberg of Variety praised the depiction of Nora's vulnerability regarding her changed body as the movie's strongest element, though he found the other situations she encounters to be unremarkably derivative. Boyd van Hoeij of ScreenDaily highlighted Clotet's vanity-free and finely calibrated performance of a woman in freefall. Javier Ocaña of El País described the film as an intrepid extravagance, questioning whether its unexpected turns are brilliant enough to fully mask moments that border on the whacky. Philipp Engel of Cinemanía gave it 4 out of 5 stars, applauding Clotet for taking on an anti-cancer dramedy that breaks down taboos and for delivering a performance where she gives it all. Manu Yáñez of Fotogramas also awarded 4 out of 5 stars, calling it a strange and unpredictable adventure that is comical, caustic, exhausting, and, in its own way, uplifting. Manuel J. Lombardo of Diario de Sevilla rated it 3 stars, billing the film as radically feminine and smartly feminist, and noting it is very well shot and acted.
