Alpha, also known as RSDN-20, is a Russian long-range radio navigation system developed in parallel with the U.S. Omega system. It operates in the VLF range and was used to determine the positions of aircraft, ships, and submarines, including underwater positions. The system consists of three active transmitters near Novosibirsk, Krasnodar, and Khabarovsk, with two additional transmitters at Revda and Seyda that were not operational as of 2010.
