Maroo Entertainment (Korean: 마루기획) is a South Korean entertainment company founded in 2010. It functions as a talent agency, a music production and distribution firm, and a producer of films and dramas. Its current roster includes the idol group Ghost9.
The company traces its roots to 2007, when it operated as a label under Mnet Media and launched the boy group Supernova. In July 2010, Maroo officially registered as an independent legal entity. Former SeeYa member Kim Yeon-ji joined as a soloist in 2012. The company debuted its first girl group, 1PS, in February 2014, and later that year signed OneTwo member Song Ho-beom. In 2015, former LPG member Han Young and actor Ha Seok-jin joined, followed by the debut of girl group MyB in August and the signing of singer and entertainer Kim Jong-kook in October. Former The Ark member Euna Kim joined in December 2016. In 2017, Maroo debuted its third girl group, BONUSBaby, signed Park Ji-hoon, and added actress Bae Geu-rin. In May 2018, Euna Kim and Minju debuted as the duo KHAN, and Norazo member Jo Bin joined later that month; Norazo made a comeback under Maroo in August with new member Won Heum. In September 2018, BONUSBaby member Kongyoo left to focus on studies, and the group went on hiatus. In September 2019, Maroo debuted Produce X 101 trainees Lee Jin-woo, Lee Tae-seung, and Lee Woo-jin as Teen Teen. The company debuted its boy group Ghost9 in September 2020. In June 2022, IHQ acquired 47.14% of Maroo’s shares.
