The series follows Park Bong-pal (Ok Taec-yeon), a 23-year-old Economics student who can see ghosts and works as an exorcist to earn money for a procedure to remove his ability. At a haunted high school, he meets Kim Hyun-ji (Kim So-hyun), a 19-year-old student who became a wandering spirit after a car accident. Hyun-ji believes Bong-pal holds the secret to her past and convinces him to let her move in, becoming his ghost-fighting partner. Together, they discover that not all ghosts are malevolent, and Bong-pal falls in love with Hyun-ji, who returns his feelings. Unbeknownst to them, an evil spirit that caused Hyun-ji's accident and is the reason Bong-pal can see ghosts stalks them.
