Pratley Putty

The first epoxy putty, used on the moon and Golden Gate Bridge.

Pratley Putty is an epoxy putty adhesive invented in the 1960s by South African George Montague Pratley with chemist Frank Robinson. It was the first epoxy putty of its kind worldwide and was used on the Ranger spacecraft that went to the moon in the mid 1960s, making it the only South African product to have gone to the moon.
