Fake, who worked as a producer and composer, died in July 2024 after a long illness. His producing credits include the first complete restoration of Leonard Bernstein’s *On the Waterfront*, a six-CD set of Elmer Bernstein conducting his music from *The Ten Commandments*, and the premiere of several Henry Mancini underscores, such as *Breakfast at Tiffany’s*—previously only available in abridged pop recordings. He also oversaw the re-recording of about a dozen classic film music albums, most recently Bernard Herrmann’s score for Alfred Hitchcock’s *The Man Who Knew Too Much*, as well as Miklós Rózsa’s *Ivanhoe*, *Julius Caesar*, and *Spellbound*.
Intrada continues to operate as both a label and a retail store, managed by longtime associate Jeff Johnson, selling its own releases alongside those of other labels.
