213 (pronounced "Two One Three") was an American hip-hop group from Long Beach, California, made up of Snoop Dogg, Warren G, and Nate Dogg. Their name came from Los Angeles' original area code 213, which covered Long Beach when they started (the city later switched to area code 562). Their first big hit was "Ain't No Fun (If the Homies Can't Have None)," a track from Snoop Dogg's debut solo album *Doggystyle* that also featured Kurupt from Tha Dogg Pound. In 1994, they put out the *St. Ides* EP. After that, they kept working together on each other's solo projects but didn't release anything new as a group until August 17, 2004, when their only studio album, *The Hard Way*, came out. It peaked at number 4 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and included the singles "Groupie Luv" and "So Fly." The group's name was a nod to the Oakland rap group 415. On March 15, 2011, Nate Dogg died in Long Beach from complications of multiple strokes, which effectively ended 213.
