Lore & Background
Sentinels began their Valorant division in April 2020. They won the first international event in the Valorant competitive scene, VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: Stage 2 Masters – Reykjavík, without losing any map points. In September 2021, Sentinels finished 5th–8th place at the Valorant Champions Tour Stage 3: Masters Berlin. Sentinels were eliminated from VALORANT Champions 2021 during group play by KRÜ Esports. In 2023, Sentinels did not qualify for the Americas League playoffs and were eliminated from the Americas Last Chance Qualifier by Leviatán. In 2024, Sentinels beat LOUD 3–2 in the grand final of the Americas Kickoff and qualified for Masters Madrid, where they defeated Gen.G 3–2 in the grand final, earning the organization their second Masters trophy. Sentinels had a poor record in Americas Stage 1, missing playoffs. In Americas Stage 2, they qualified for playoffs but were eliminated early, then narrowly qualified to VCT Champions 2024. In the Champions 2024 group stage, they defeated Gen.G 2–0 to clinch a playoff spot. They began their playoff run with a win against DRX, then lost to EDward Gaming, were sent to the lower bracket, defeated Fnatic 2–1, and were eliminated by Team Heretics 2–1, finishing in the Top 4. Sentinels have never won a VCT Champions title; their only international VCT trophy remains VCT Masters Reykjavík 2021.
