Background
The Ferrari factory has been there since the early 1940s; at first it shared the site with Auto Avio Costruzioni, the machine-tool business Enzo Ferrari ran while Alfa Romeo barred him from building cars under his own name. The town also has the Museo Ferrari, with road cars, racing cars and trophies, and the team's Fiorano test track. The Haas F1 Team's design office is based there too, and Michael Schumacher is an honorary citizen.
