Background

Patti Miller (Stephanie D'Abruzzo), a patient, mysteriously starts hearing everyone's speech as singing, turning Sacred Heart into a full-scale Broadway musical. Meanwhile Elliot tries to tell J.D. that she no longer wants to be his roommate, and Carla tries to decide whether to return to work. The music was composed by Fordham, Jan Stevens, Paul Perry, Doug Besterman and the Avenue Q team of Jeff Marx and Robert Lopez. In 2009 TV Guide ranked the episode #86 on its list of the 100 Greatest Episodes; it received five Emmy Award nominations and won one.
