At age thirty, he composed the *Brāhmasphuṭasiddhānta*, a revised and original work of twenty-four chapters and 1008 verses covering astronomy, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and algorithmics. Later, he moved to Ujjaini, a major astronomical hub, where at sixty-seven he wrote the *Khaṇḍakhādyaka*, a student-oriented manual. He died in 668, likely in Ujjain.
