Novels

Jack slowly discovers that he actually comes from a thousand years ahead, a time when Earth has become an ecological ruin. His real parents belong to a group called the Caretakers who live in that desolate future, and they sent him back to the present day—the so-called Turning Point—which is the final chance to prevent the environmental catastrophes the Dark Army has already set in motion to destroy the world. He gets help from a strange dog and a female fighter who can change her shape. Together they take on Dargon, a villain sent from the future by the Dark Army to wreck the world's oceans.

In the second book, which follows Firestorm, Jack is falsely accused of kidnapping a girl named PJ. His dog Gisco finds him quickly, and they start their next mission. Their journey includes a chaotic encounter at a carnival, a ride in a hot air balloon, and an all-out war against the leader of the Dark Army—who turns out to be the father of Jack's previous enemy. This time the threat is not the ocean but the Amazon rainforest, which produces most of the planet's air. In the jungle Jack meets Eko, and after some romantic moments they locate Kidah, a mysterious wizard who has been lost in time and is also the one who wrote the prophecy about Jack. After succeeding again, Jack promises to abandon the future's fight against the Dark Army and tosses his watch into the Amazon River.

In the trilogy's final novel, Jack still wants a normal life but must now save the polar ice caps. He travels to his own future time, a world of burning deserts, and faces a choice between his destiny as a prince of that future and his life as an ordinary modern teenager. He fights cyborgs, giant scorpions, and zombie warlocks.
