Format
A television anthology that blended fantasy, science fiction, horror, and the supernatural, this series followed ordinary people whose lives took strange turns, much like The Twilight Zone. Seventeen episodes were produced, directed by Roy Ward Baker, Alan Gibson, Robert Stevens, Don Chaffey, and Michael Lindsay-Hogg. The cast included both American and British talent: George Maharis, Vera Miles, Barbara Bel Geddes, Patty Duke, Carol Lynley, Joseph Cotten, Stefanie Powers, Brandon deWilde, Dennis Waterman, Jane Asher, Kay Walsh, Roddy McDowall, Nanette Newman, Ann Bell, and Tom Adams. Each episode was executive-produced by either Joan Harrison or Norman Lloyd, both former co-producers of Alfred Hitchcock Presents and The Alfred Hitchcock Hour. In the United States, eight episodes were repackaged into four made-for-television films, each pairing two episodes with new introductions hosted by Patrick McGoohan, Sebastian Cabot, or Joan Crawford.
