Seth Baxter is a convicted murderer who appears in Saw V. He is shown in the film's opening trap, where he wakes up chained to a table beneath a pendulum blade. He is told he can release himself by crushing his hands between two presses, which he does, but the blade still bisects him as someone watches through a hole in the wall.

He follows the instructions to crush his hands between two presses, but the blade still bisects him. Strahm later learns that Hoffman killed Baxter, who had killed Hoffman's sister. John Kramer then abducted Hoffman and blackmailed him into becoming an accomplice.
