Robin Uthappa played for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League. He was swapped with Zaheer Khan and moved to Royal Challengers Bangalore in January 2009. In the 2010 Indian Premier League, he smashed a 21-ball 51, the second fastest fifty in Indian Premier League, and struck an unbeaten 68 off 38 balls against Chennai Super Kings, winning the Man of the Match award. He ended the 2010 season with 374 runs from 14 innings at an average of 31.16, hitting 27 sixes, the most by any batsman that season. For his 2010 performances, he was named in the ESPNcricinfo IPL XI.
