Yuzvendra Chahal is a leg spin bowler who played for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Indian Premier League (IPL) from 2014 to 2021. He was first signed by Mumbai Indians in 2011, appearing in only one IPL game across three seasons, before moving to Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the 2014 IPL auction for his base price of ₹10 lakh. He got the Man of the Match award against Delhi Daredevils in IPL 2014. In January 2018, he was bought back by Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the 2018 IPL auction. He was part of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru team that lost the 2016 IPL final. In 2024, he became the first bowler to take 200 IPL career wickets.
