Career
Vocalist Murk and guitarist B-Larz first worked together in 1994 under the name Black Talon. With bassist Flare and drummer Billy K, the group became No One and played their debut concert on August 5, 2000 at Champ’s. Two weeks later they recorded a three-track demo with Johnny K. Soon after, a manager in California began shopping the demo without the band's permission, which led to offers from multiple labels. No One chose Immortal Records partly because the label had never dropped a band. At signing, No One had only five songs but wrote the rest of their self-titled album in the studio. Released in August 2001, the album reached No. 35 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart, though its two singles did not chart. Immortal Records considered the album a disappointment and dropped the band. Bassist Flare left, and No One continued writing and posting demos online before disbanding in 2003. The band resumed playing shows in 2010. Guitarist Bob Bielarz, his wife Vee, and friend Jeremy Muzika went missing on June 20, 2014 after Bielarz's boat capsized in the Cal-Sag Channel near Palos Hills, Illinois. Vee and Jeremy were found on June 22; Bielarz was identified on June 23. No One has been inactive since.
