Critical reception
BurnYourEars rated the album 7/10, describing it as a colorful, nostalgic mix where stripped-down songs retain energy and emotion, with dark lyrics standing out in acoustic form. The bonus track "Everything Breaks" was called melancholic but lacking a desired climax. Dead Press! reviewed it on July 13, 2020, calling it neutral-toned, mature, and alive with new spirit, praising the meticulous song selection as tasteful, delicate, and cozy. The review noted the band thrives in both metalcore and acoustic vulnerability, though the album brings little new to the table.
