Singles
The promotion for the album shifted when it was broken into several EPs. Prior to that, two singles arrived: "Double Fantasy" with Future on April 21, 2023, and "Popular" with Playboi Carti and Madonna on June 2, 2023. While "Double Fantasy" ended up on The Idol Episode 2 soundtrack, "Popular" never made it onto any EP and remained a standalone track. A third single, "One of the Girls" featuring Jennie and Lily-Rose Depp, first appeared on The Idol Episode 4 soundtrack before its standalone release on December 8, 2023. Both "Popular" and "One of the Girls" were later added to the 2024 deluxe edition of the Weeknd's greatest-hits collection, The Highlights.
The Idol Episode 4 (Music from the HBO Original Series)
The EP for the fourth episode of The Idol, titled "Stars Belong to the World," dropped on June 23, 2023. It packs three tracks: "One of the Girls" from the Weeknd, Jennie, and Lily-Rose Depp; a take on John Lennon's "Jealous Guy" by the Weeknd alone; and "Fill the Void" featuring the Weeknd, Depp, and Ramsey. The single "One of the Girls" came out later, on December 8, 2023.
