Lore & Background

Zhou is a young Chinese Gunter who becomes one of the 'High Five' alongside Wade Watts (Parzival), Art3mis, Aech, and Daito. His avatar Sho is a ninja. In the film, Zhou and the other High Five members work together to find the three keys and the Easter egg, leading an army of OASIS players against the Sixers in the final battle on Planet Doom. After Sorrento uses the Cataclyst bomb to wipe out every avatar on Planet Doom, Parzival survives using an extra life coin and wins the egg. In the aftermath, Wade decides to run the OASIS with the High Five, inviting Ogden Morrow to join them as a consultant. Note: In the film, Zhou does not participate in the escape sequence after Samantha is captured by IOI; only Aech and Daito assist Wade in that scene.
