Lore & Background

Skidd McMarx's presence is documented during a specific timeline prior to the dimensional catastrophe. He was one of three figures—alongside Captain Quark and Rusty Pete—hosting a parade on Corson V to celebrate Ratchet and Clank. This event takes place some time after the 2013 game, Into the Nexus. The source identifies him as part of the original universe before Doctor Nefarious attacks and steals the Dimensionator. In the subsequent alternate dimension where Dr. Nefarious assumes the role of Emperor, Skidd McMarx appears as 'Phantom,' an alternate version described as a member of the resistance opposed to the emperor. This establishes his dual existence across two realities within the game's plot.

Reader's Guide

Skidd McMarx serves as both a background figure in the prologue and an active quest giver in the alternate dimension. Players encounter 'Phantom' (the alternate Skidd) shortly after Ratchet arrives in the new universe. His primary function is to provide Glitch, an essential tool for navigation. Fans should note that while he is named during the Corson V parade sequence, his active gameplay role is limited to this specific interaction where he aids Ratchet's pursuit of Rivet.
