The Gems' departure left Quincy without a team for the 2024 season. The new franchise was awarded to Golden Rule Entertainment and Tim Hoker. On March 21, 2025, the team was officially named the Doggy Paddlers. The team plays at QU Stadium, a 2,500-seat facility owned and operated by Quincy University, built in 1938 and located at 1800 Sycamore Street in Quincy.
