Lore & Background

Batman's origin story features him swearing vengeance against criminals after witnessing the murder of his parents, Thomas and Martha, as a child. He vows never to kill any criminal and never to use firearms or other lethal weaponry. He trains himself physically and intellectually, crafts a bat-inspired persona and arsenal, utilizes his family wealth and resources, and monitors the Gotham streets at night. Unlike most superheroes, Batman does not possess any superpowers, instead relying on his intellect, fighting skills, and wealth.

In Their Own Story

The neon lights of Gotham flickered against the rain-slicked pavement as the Batmobile roared past. Inside the cockpit, the radio crackled to life with a distorted, pulsating beat that seemed to vibrate through the very chassis of the car. It was 'Batdance,' a sonic weapon as sharp as any batarang, echoing off the gargoyles of Wayne Manor. The rhythm wasn't just music; it was the heartbeat of a city on the brink, a funky, chaotic signal that told the Joker his time had come.
