Planet Zoo: South America Pack is the second major DLC for the construction and management sim Planet Zoo, created by Frontier Developments. Released on 7 April 2020, it focuses on South American wildlife.
The expansion adds five animals: the jaguar, llama, giant anteater, capuchin monkey, and red-eyed tree frog. It also includes over 250 new scenery pieces, such as jungle foliage and building parts inspired by Mesoamerican architecture.
The pack launched alongside update 1.2 of the base game. It later became available for the Console Edition on 29 January 2025, together with the Australia Pack.
Reception was mixed. Screen Rant called it "good but not essential," noting it had less content than the Arctic Pack but praising what was there. Multiplayer.it gave it 8/10, saying it would appeal to regular players seeking new building options, though it wasn't perfect. Gameblog rated it 6/10, finding the content limited given the continent's diversity. The Gamer observed it was similar to the Arctic Pack but with more decorative focus. But Why Tho? gave a mostly positive 9/10, despite noting the content was "a little light." Game Rant ranked it seventh among Planet Zoo DLCs, pointing out that many player-made creations from the base game use its pieces.
