The Danish Tumbler is a breed of fancy pigeon, and like all domesticated pigeons, it is a rock pigeon (Columba livia). Its standard describes an elegant, slender, and rather strong bird with a highly carried, full breast. The neck is comparatively long, with the throat well undercut, and the uppermost part of the neck is slender and thin, evenly growing thicker down towards the breast and back. The back is suitably broad-shouldered and slopes at about 50° with the horizontal down towards the narrow, not too long tail. The wings fit closely to the body, rest upon the tail, and almost reach the tip without crossing. The tail consists of 12 feathers, is narrow and tight fitting, and must not reach the floor in parade position. The legs are red, comparatively long, not coarse, not too close, and slightly bent in the heel, with comparatively long lower legs. The plumage is thick and firm, with strong wing feathers.
