Tripod

The Tripod is a piece of equipment in Phasmophobia that holds a video camera. Placing a camera on it mounts the camera, and picking the tripod up afterwards carries both together, so a player does not have to move them separately.

Tripods let players aim a camera where there is no shelf or table to set it on, and a mounted camera is less likely to be knocked over by the ghost; how well it resists depends on the tripod's tier. The Tier II and Tier III tripods have a motorised mount, so the camera can be turned left or right from the computer in the truck, which can let one camera watch a whole room. Tripods are bulky: carrying one takes up the player's hand, it cannot be put in the inventory, switching items drops it, and a placed tripod gets in the way of anyone walking through it.
