Mercy

Lore & Background

Mercy's relationship with Overwatch was complex; while she helped form the organization, she eventually grew disillusioned with its lack of transparency regarding certain events. Despite stepping away from active duty for a time, her heart remained with the cause of protecting humanity. When the call went out to reassemble the team, she returned immediately, proving that her commitment to saving lives superseded any political disagreements. Her presence on the field often turns the tide of battle, not through destruction, but by ensuring her allies can keep fighting.

Reader's Guide

Dr. Angela Ziegler serves as a premier Support hero, specializing in healing allies and providing damage buffs to her team. Her signature ability involves channeling a beam from her Caduceus staff to restore health or boost the firepower of a single target. She can also deploy a healing orb that bounces between teammates, offering area-of-effect sustain during chaotic fights. In combat, Mercy utilizes her Valkyrie wings for high mobility, allowing her to reposition quickly over difficult terrain. Her ultimate ability, Valkyrie, transforms her into an aerial powerhouse, granting her infinite flight and the ability to heal or damage multiple targets simultaneously with her dual beams. This makes her a crucial asset for turning around losing engagements.
