Background
Andrade grew up in Fortaleza, a dangerous area with few opportunities for young people. He began training in Muay Thai at age 13, seeing it as a path to a better life. The sport transformed him physically and mentally. He now trains at Tiger Muay Thai in Phuket and has worked with UFC champions such as Petr Yan and Alexander Volkanovski.
Mixed martial arts career
Andrade made his ONE debut on July 31, 2020, at ONE: No Surrender, submitting Mark Abelardo via rear-naked choke in the second round. He then defeated Shoko Sato by unanimous decision at ONE: Unbreakable 3, Li Kai Wen by first-round TKO at ONE: Winter Warriors II, Jeremy Pacatiw by first-round knockout with a knee to the body at ONE: Full Circle, and Kwon Won Il by first-round knockout with a body kick at ONE 158, earning a Performance of the Night award. At ONE on Prime Video 3 on October 22, 2022, he faced John Lineker for the ONE Bantamweight World Championship. Lineker missed weight and was stripped of the title; only Andrade could win it. An accidental groin strike in the third round rendered Lineker unable to continue, and the bout was declared a no contest. In a rematch at ONE Fight Night 7 on February 25, 2023, Andrade won the vacant title by technical knockout after Lineker's corner stopped the fight after the fourth round. He defended the championship against Kwon Won Il in a rematch at ONE 170 on January 24, 2025, winning by first-round TKO and earning a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus.
