Facts from the source article.

Early life

Tejralová came into the world on January 4, 1996, in Prague. Her twin brother, Petr, played pro hockey in the Czech Republic, and watching him got her started in the sport when she was six. She chose to be a defender because she got a kick out of blocking shots. Growing up, she played for HC Slavia Praha, often on teams with boys her own age, including her brother. She says some of her skating skill comes from mimicking his technique.

Playing career

Tejralová began her pro career overseas, joining Russia's Zhenskaya Hockey League for the 2014–15 season. She signed with Dynamo St. Petersburg in 2015 and wore an alternate captain's badge for two seasons. In 2020, she moved to SKIF Nizhny Novgorod, again serving as an alternate captain. Over 64 games with SKIF, she notched 64 points, including a 46-point campaign in 2021–22 where she posted a plus-40 rating across 36 games. She topped the ZhHL in scoring among defenders twice. For the 2022–23 season, she made her North American debut with the Boston Pride of the Premier Hockey Federation. Pride head coach Paul Mara said she would make an immediate impact in all three zones and that her talent and experience would boost the team's success. Boston finished the regular season with a league-best 19-4-1 record, and Tejralová helped anchor a defense that surrendered the fewest goals in the league. She was one of nine Pride players named to the Team World roster for the 2023 PHF All-Star Game in Toronto. She scored two goals during the regular season, but the Pride were swept by the Minnesota Whitecaps in the semifinals. Before the first PWHL season, she played for MODO Hockey in Sweden's SDHL in fall 2023, recording eight points in 13 games. Her contract included an exit clause to join the PWHL for training camp. Ottawa selected her 41st overall in the 2023 PWHL Draft. In the 2023–24 season, she had two goals and six assists in 23 games. She signed a two-year extension with Ottawa on June 9, 2024, and posted one goal and nine assists in the 2024–25 season.

International play

Tejralová joined the Czech national team at age 15 in 2012. As a junior, she participated in four IIHF World U18 Championships and was selected as a Top 3 Player for the Czech team at the 2013 tournament. At the senior level, she competed in three Division I A tournaments (2012, 2014, 2015). For the 2015 tournament, she was named Best Defenseman as Czechia won gold and earned promotion to the Top Division. She competed in five Top Division World Championships (2013, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2021) and was selected as a Top 3 Player at the 2017 tournament. At the 2022 World Championship, Czechia won bronze, the country's first Top Division medal, and repeated with bronze in 2023. She represented Czechia at the 2022 Winter Olympics, scoring one goal in five games. She was named captain prior to the 2023 World Championship, succeeding Alena Mills. She was named team captain for Czechia at the 2026 Winter Olympics.
