Definitely Maybe Tour
Oasis's 143-show run of 1994 and 1995 that carried the band to the front of Britpop.
The Definitely Maybe Tour was the concert tour Oasis played in support of their debut album, Definitely Maybe. Running through 1994 and 1995 across 10 legs, it took in 143 shows in the UK, Europe, Japan, the US and Canada. The album came out in August, partway through the tour, and its acclaim pushed Oasis into the top rank of British bands and to the head of the rising Britpop movement. The tour was also marked by the Gallagher brothers' clashes and hard-living habits, which made regular tabloid news and led to several disruptions and cancelled dates.

Background
The tour opened on 6 February 1994 with a short set at Gleneagles, Scotland; a live recording of "Supersonic" from that night later became a B-side on the "Live Forever" single. Trouble followed the band on the road. Every member except Noel was deported from Amsterdam after a scuffle with fellow passengers on their way there. Before a 29 September 1994 show at the Whisky a Go Go in California, the band took meth with The Brian Jonestown Massacre, and the error-strewn gig led Noel to walk out for at least a week. Management tracked him down and talked him into returning, and while away he wrote "Talk Tonight" and "(It's Good) To Be Free".
