Lore & Background

Sardy first became known in the 1990s as the leader of the noise rock band Barkmarket, then moved mostly into production and later into film scoring. With Oasis he took over as lead producer from Noel Gallagher, who stepped back from that job after ten years of producing the band. For Dig Out Your Soul the band went back into the studio on 5 November 2007 and completed the recording with Sardy around March 2008. He also mixed and produced both Oasis records, and a D. Sardy mix of "Morning Glory" appeared on the 2005 Goal! soundtrack.

Outside Oasis, Sardy won six ARIA Awards in 2006 for his work with Jet and three more in 2008 for Wolfmother. His five Grammy Awards came for work with Toots and the Maytals, Rodrigo y Gabriela, OK Go, Wolfmother and Marilyn Manson, and he has won Brit Awards for Oasis among others. He has scored films including 21, Zombieland, End of Watch and The Beekeeper, and in 2019 he produced a studio album by The Who.
