Mark Mulder

Mark Alan Mulder (born August 5, 1977) is an American former professional baseball player. A left-handed starting pitcher, Mulder pitched in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Oakland Athletics and St. Louis Cardinals. He is a two-time All-Star.

Mulder was selected by the Oakland Athletics with the second overall pick in the 1998 MLB draft. He made his MLB debut on April 18, 2000, at age 22. He played for the Athletics from 2000 to 2004, then for the St. Louis Cardinals from 2005 to 2008. He led the American League in wins in 2001 (21) and was an All-Star in 2003 and 2004. After retiring, he won the American Century Championship in 2015, 2016, and 2017.

He was traded to the Cardinals after the 2004 season. Injuries limited his later career, and he retired in 2010.
