Making and release

What the cited sources add
The series received negative reviews from most contributors to the Anime News Network Winter 2021 Preview Guide, who criticized its repeated "rape and revenge" motif.[6][7] Reviewers found fault with the series for its "generic" fantasy role-playing game setting and "contrived" rationalizations for the revenge storyline.[6][7] Controversy surrounded the series because of its portrayal of extreme violence, sexual content, rape, and slavery, with the first two episodes being particularly noted.[8][7] A content warning was posted by the official Twitter account just before the anime's television premiere.[9][10]
Tsukiyo directed fans toward their other series, The World's Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat, which Yen Press has licensed.[11][12]
